Dear Society, I'm not slim I'm not skinny And I will never be I will always have curves Like an hourglass with extra sand And you will see I don't care about your standards Or diet craze tips On your demands I will not feel ashamed You will respect me Like the goddess I am Stretch marks and curves A stomach and thighs Shouldn't be something you hate As long as you're healthy Happy and comfortable Your body is something to appreciate I don't look like Kate Upton Or Kate Middleton My waist will never be thin But learning to be happy And satisfied with your body And this is where my journey begins To look in the mirror To smile all-day I will learn to love myself Because if I don't Figure out how to do that, How could I love anyone else My tummy isn't flat My hips are wide But I sure as hell can fill out a dress On the journey to repatch my happiness To save my self-esteem I will try my best I promise to love me My body and all And to always wear my crown I am a queen I will take what you throw at me You can no longer tear me down
Love,
A woman freed from your chains.
