If you’re white and you’re blue, you see yourself as greater
If you’re black and you’re blue, you become a traitor
If you’re white you’re in the clear
If you’re black, you live in fear
If you’re blue, you watch the streets with nothing to do
And those who wish to be blue, act as if they’ve got something to prove
While those in white, team up with blue
And the one who wear black and runs the states
The ones who wear white coats, turn away blacks in the day
The ones who wears black suits laugh it up, with their friends on I.C.E
Playing with people’s money and everyone who can’t afford to live in strife.
Being white protects you from blue
While being black, gives no safety to you
Being black and blue by those in blue with skin so white
To those who couldn’t get up after beaten, black
By those in blue, to you I say good night.
And Rest tight, and our families are still praying for you
Waiting for justice, allies, truth from those in black and blue
Rest in Peace
Eric Garner, Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, Stephon Clark,
Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Tamir Rice, Walter Scott
And every other person whose life was taken by police brutality
